Technical Requirements.
The website of VoiceOfGod.gr has been
developed using Microsoft Silverlight and .NET technologies.
It is tested and displayed correctly on Internet Explorer version 7+,
Firefox version 3+, Google Chrome version 4+, Opera version 10+ και Apple
Safari 4+.
The operating system should support Silverlight version 2+ installation, such as Windows XP or later,
Mac OS 10.4.8+ (Intel-based). UNIX distributions, like Linux,
FreeBSD or SolarisOS
are supported as long as the free plugin Moonlight
version 2+ from Novell Inc is installed,
The screen resolution should be at
least 1024x768px. for best view and a sound card should
be installed as well.
Explanation of
specific tabs:
Suggested
In this section you can select and view a series of
broadcasts, suggested by VoiceOfGod.gr.
By pressing on a “suggested broadcast”, it is immediately displayed on the
media player, thus interrupting the scheduled program. At the same time in the “info” tab, you may find
info about the broadcast you have selected.
Furthermore you can download the video or audio files.
Mostly Viewed
In this section you can see the first 16 mostly viewed
broadcasts that have been played, from previous searches.
A broadcast becomes more popular than another one, depending
on how many visitors have seen it in the past.
By pressing on a “mostly viewed” broadcast, it is immediately displayed on the
media player, thus interrupting the scheduled program. At the same time in the
“info” tab, you may find info about the broadcast you
have selected. Furthermore you can download the video or audio files.
Recent
In this section you may view the most recently added
broadcasts.
In this list, you can choose between viewing the video, or listening to the
audio (if it is available). In addition you can download to your computer
either the video or the audio, by right clicking on the corresponding buttons.
Search
In this section you can search for videos depending on
certain criteria. The search options are as follows:
1. Date (from – to)
2. Speaker
(in case the speaker you are interested is not listed
there, or the broadcast had more than one speakers, then you should choose the
option “Various”)
3. Broadcast
Series.
The search can be carried out using at least one of the preceding
criteria (filters).
Categories
In this section you may choose between a series of
broadcasts, which have been grouped into more general categories. These general
categories can be found on the left side in a
“tree-like” structure.
By pressing on the “+” sign, next to the general category, the corresponding
series of broadcasts are displayed. By clicking on the desired series, all the
episodes of this series are displayed on the right side.
